Researching and Upgrading Troops Automatically

In the previous manual we introduced Troops Tab. Now we are going to see all details about automatic researching and upgrading troops.

 

Researching Troops Automatically

Researching a troop type is the first step before training them. Most troop types require researching except the first troop type. In the following sample image you may see 4 “Research” buttons:

Each “Research” button, marked with red numbered circle, corresponds to its row troop type: Axeman, Paladin, Teutonic Knight and Ram respectively.

If certain row does not have “Research” button, it means that it was already researched.

You can click any “Research” button any time and it will be inserted in the research queue. So, you can click all research buttons is you wish to, and TCommander Bot will research all of them automatically but one at a time.

After you click “Research” button, it will be disabled and changed to “Research Queued” status (see #2 button).

 

TCommander automatically detects whether a troop type can be researched. For example it detects if prerequisite buildings don’t exist or if village has not enough resources to research. In either case it will show a notification icon:

In this case where prerequisite buildings still do not exist, you can still push the “Research” button. TCommander will insert it in research queue and will research automatically after prerequisite buildings are built. You only need to add prerequisite buildings in Buildings Queue and once they are built, researching starts automatically. This is a wonderful feature that allows you prepare your troop for battle automatically even if you don’t have the prerequisite building in the village.

 

Troop needs resources to research

 

In this case where village does not have enough resources to research, you can still add research to queue. TCommander will research automatically as soon as village has enough resources.

You must bear in mind that if you are using Resources Reservation feature, “Not enough Resources” icon will still appears if village resources are under resources reservation amount plus resources to research amount. For more details about Resources Reservation feature, see previous manual Troops Tab.

 

Once a troop type meets all prerequisites to research,  TCommander starts researching the troop automatically, hides “Research” button and shows due time to finish researching:

After due time reaches 0 seconds. Upgrade panel appears.

 

Upgrading Troops Automatically

Once a troop type is researched, you are able to increase its level (upgrade). You may see Upgrade Panel where you can control which level you want to upgrade to:

You need to build Smithy in your village in order to use Upgrade Panel.

In middle section you may say current level and maximum level that you are able to upgrade. In our case it is: “Level 1/3”. It means the current level is 1 and you can upgrade up to level 3. The maximum level allowed depends of the level of Smithy.

To upgrade a troop automatically is very simple. The bottom section shows 2 buttons and a green number between them. Both buttons can be used to increase o decrease the level that you want to upgrade the troops. That programmed level is shown in the green number. For example if you click the right button twice, the programmed level will be 3 and TCommander will upgrade your troops from level 1 to level 3 automatically.

In certain situations, village may not have enough resources to upgrade. In that case a notification icon should appear:

You don’t have to worry in this case. TCommander will detect as soon as the village has enough resources to upgrade and will start upgrading automatically.

You must bear in mind that if you are using Resources Reservation feature, “Not enough Resources” icon will still appears if village resources are under resources reservation amount plus resources to upgrade amount.
